{Rated "R" Movies & Bad Language In A Book... Are They The Same?}

My question is... if you don't allow yourself to watch a rated "R" movie is it okay to read something that might be rated the same. Most people would just say NO. But the debate is, with a movie you don't have any idea that what the person is going to say or do will be bad, you can't bleep it out. With a book you probably have a pretty good idea when the bad stuff is coming. Most readers can kinda glance ahead as they are reading and know that something bad is going to be said and skip over it or think of an alternate word to put in its' place. Maybe it's just me I don't know but that is how I do it. I don't read many books that are not "good" books. However, this one I have started to read. It is about a young man recoving from a drug addiction. The story is interesting and the book is very well written but the language is hard to get past. I think the best thing about this book is that it is real life and something that people around us maybe even family or friends are or have experienced. Hopefully we don't know to many people that go through this if any at all but these young people or people of all ages are going through terrible times in their lives such as this author. I think that it is very good to be aware of all situations that we, our family, friends and even children can come across. This is a very tough world and it is only going to get worse. So in the end is it worth reading a book like this and trying to look past the language or better to just not read it at all? I think as I have grown to love to read more and more I have learned that I truly learn better by reading it and I, as a reader, feel like I can experience the situations myself without actually having to go through them. I have learned much about my faith by reading books about it in a storyfied (sp?) manner. I have learned to appreciate reading and learning more. So please tell me what you think on this subject.

{Sad News!}

As most of you know we got in a car accident over Presidents Day weekend. We were on our way home from our friends house in WY and it was just after a snow storm, there was black ice on the road and we rolled our truck in the median. VERY SCARY, yes but we were very blessed to walk away without a scratch. Well it has now been 4 weeks, at least (I have stopped counting) since it has been in the shop getting fixed and trust me... WE ARE SO READY TO GET IT BACK! We were told last Thursday that we would be able to pick it up on Friday. Well that night they called and said "Sorry we have another Frontier and yours is not the one that is ready!" Needless to say, Nick was very sad after hanging up the phone with the guy, so he says that it should be done in the middle of this week. Meaning we should have been able to pick it up today or tomorrow. Guess what!! It's still going to be another WEEK AND A HALF! I know, I know call us spoiled but it has been quit an inconvenience with both of us having such a busy schedule. Soon enough we will have it back and things will start to get back to normal. I'm sure once we do get the truck back we will never drive my new car around anymore. Nick misses his truck so bad that he will want to take it everywhere. Wishful thinking maybe but we should have it back soon!

{Such a good helper!}

Last post for the day... I promise! Here is a picture of my amazing husband putting up with me being O.C.D. On our way home from the hospital, seeing the babies we stopped by IKEA to get a book self and another dvd case. He was so hungry the he really just wanted to go home and eat but he stopped there just to make his wife happy. Then after we came home and I cooked him something to feed his belly he sat down to build my furniture. When really he wanted to play his new video game that he has been waiting all day to get his hands on. He is so nice to help me all the time. But trust me I had to force him to put that cute smile on his face! Love you!!

{Sweet Babies!}

Tonight Nick and I were able to go visit our friends two new babies. Yes, I said TWO new babies. They are so adorable. Unfortunately, I was not able to get pictures of them at the hospital. They were being handled by the nurses pretty much the whole time we were there. But there sure is an air about newborn's and children in general. There is such an innocence about a child that makes you, as an adult, want to try and be a better person. These two girls are going to be such a blessing to our friends lives and I know that they will be amazing parents. I am so excited for you guys!

{Easter}

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. I have to say though, I don't think that Easter is a very exciting holiday with out kids around. One day..! Besides Easter has a much more meaning full point then just candy and easter eggs. It really is an amazing holiday and I am so grateful for the oppurtunity we have to take this day each year to remember the true meaning of Easter.

{Bad Furniture Experience!}

So we had one of the worst furniture buying experiences ever! We were so excited to get our tax return to buy a whole new bedroom set and better yet a KING SIZE BED! So a couple weeks ago we started our search for a new bedroom set. We stopped by the first furniture store and saw so many things that we loved after looking at all of our options at the first place we decided to go see if there happened to be anything else we loved at a few other places before we made a final decision. We show up at Furniture Warehouse (where we have bought a good amount of furniture before) and we see the same exact furniture set that we wanted at Ashley's. We decided to see what they could offer us. Turns out the offer was pretty close to the same after some willing and dealing. So we decide to just go with Furniture Warehouse, as we bought here before. They show up the following Friday with a broken bed and no nightstands!! We were aware that one of the nightstands may not be available and would have to be delivered later but definitely not both of them. A broken bed? I don't understand. The side railings of the bed, which hold the bed up was broken. They were able to supply us with a metal frame but that means that our head board is just leaning against the wall and our foot board is not connected. For all of this madness Nick was able to manage a nice refund for the inconvenience, which I really appreciate. He is so good with that! Thanks Hun! All in all, I still managed to get my room put together. I'm sure you guys know that I probably would not be able to survive for very long if i left my room in disarray. So we are managing for now. I will post the new pictures of our bedroom once I get ALL of my furniture! Moral of the story is... SHOP AT ASHLEY'S!

{I finally did it!}

Well, the much anticipated blog has now begun! It has taken me a long time to get motivated to start this but now that it's done I am so excited! Await the newest post...
